向海涛，男，博士，中科院南京土壤所研究员，博士生导师。长期从事精准农业和农业大数据领域的研究，以高产高效的现代农业为目标，致力于通过农业科学和工程、信息等多学科的交叉与融合，实现精准化和智能化农业种植管理与决策。2008年获美国美国伊利诺伊大学香槟分校农业工程博士学位。在国内外著名期刊以及国际会议发表论文二十余篇，申请及授权美国专利3项。长期担任美国农业部特约评审专家，并担任期刊Advances in Meteorology客座编辑以及期刊IJABE编委。先后被选举为美国农业与生物工程师协会6个学术委员会成员。
